Passed to us from “Grandmother” Leona Lamm, fondly known to everyone as “Mama Lamm”. She was born and raised in Cranberry Prairie, Ohio, a small farming community of German immigrants in North Central Ohio. It is believed that the recipe had migrated with the immigrant families that had settled in the region. The salad dressing was used for family gatherings and special occasions. Later it was served in a family-owned eating establishment, the Village Family Restaurant located in Waynesville, Ohio. The salad dressing quickly became a local favorite and its popularity grew over time. Only recently has it been available for purchase online and a few select retail establishments. We invite you to join our family and share in the tradition.
